Best Buy Ever
I love this phone. It's taken me 4 weeks to get used to it, so if you're thinking of getting one you need to persevere - you'll get there in the end.
It's a brilliant web surfing machine - works as well as my laptop and fits in my pocket, what more could I want?
Well, better instructions would help - specifically separate instructions for those everyday things that you want to do like zoom into the screen and last number redial - but they're minor irritations and I figured them out in the end.
It's a huge pity that I can't send or receive SMS (picture) messages. I know that I can attach them to an e-mail but that's not instantaneous for those friends who aren't lucky enough to have an N900. That is the major drawback with this phone. We spent years without being able to send SMS but once you can, why wouldn't you want to continue? Come on Mr Nokia - add a bit of extra functionality!
That aside, thsi is the best phone taht I've ever had. My last phone was an N95 8gb and that was good but this phone allows free Skype video messaging and free skype to skype phone calls to anywhere in the world. It has it's own operating system called Maemo which works really fast and smooth.
If I was choosing again, I would pick this phone - provided you take the time to read the tutorials and are patient. you won't regret buying one either.

A great buy
Good quality, feels like we’ll be using it for years. Extending mechanism is smooth and it extends and folds up again smoothly. It is a one-person job to extend and fold back.
The extension pieces are quite heavy and the built-in holder is a boon.
It arrived in 3 packages; we took our time to build. This was relatively straightforward, everything went together easily and all parts were there.
Well worth the money, I would highly recommend.
