First impressions
I unpacked the klondike tent, started my stopwatch and followed the instructions that are supplied in the tent bag. Start to finish 45 minutes on my own. I think this will get less the more I set up.
I like the simplicity of the tent, 2 poles! No fibreglass ones to wrestle with. The main pole is in sections that slot together for the centre and an A frame pole for the front. The ground sheet can be split and left open, this is useful for muddy boots or if you get the wood burner.
As described this is a six berth tent, but is spacious enough for myself, partner and dog.
I've only set this up in the garden so can't comment on how it is in a camping environment.
My overall impression it is a little pricey but prices are similar to air frame tents of a similar size and it's less of a faff to set up than a conventional tent. Money well spent (I hope!)
