For the price an absolute bargain. A wonderful volume with a massive photographic presence, with an impressive observation of live commentary. A very worthy book of GWR LIFE AND TIMES. THE book was slipped inside a plastic envelope tight fitting but had sustained a tiny “ding” in the face cover (though acceptable). In my opinion a wrap of corrugated cardboard around the book & slightly larger plastic envelope would have saved this misfortune. Just saying, trying to be of honest help. Thanks.

A quick riffle through the pages indicates to me that this account of gemstones, lapidary mentions and mineral collecting sites is a valuable reference volume on these subjects. Locations are explicit which is a great help in locating mineral sites. A good book to have in a lapidary library.
