Takes a lickin'
Just keep buying the same shoes every 4 years. I do not work in an office, I am on jobsites day after day. Mud, dirt, water, nothing phases these things. Just wipe them off and on to the next meeting.

Makes me want to throw rocks at Garmin

Quality you can count on.
This was the eaiest brake set up I have ever done, the simplicity puts the XT brake on the top of the heap. I have used a lot of different brakes over the years, the Shimano may not be flashy or have all hype of other brands but you can count on them every time.
They worked right out of the box, modulation is acceptable and they are dead silent which is why I changed from my last set.
