Excellent product, superior performance
1 of 1 found this helpful This device is absolutely amazing. When I began searching for a headphone amp I never thought that I would find one as good as this. I bought 3.
I use these to drive full size studio Sennheiser headphones. They require more power and tone shaping than a cell phone or a laptop can provide. It's difficult to be brief about this product, but I will try:
1. Engineered perfectly. The center frequencies of the tone controls , as well as the degree of boost / cut are spot on.
2. The "loudness" feature is excellent as well, and does most of the work for you even before touching the tone controls. It's a perfect 1kHz notch filter while also providing a nice bass and treble boost.
3. Superior specs. S/N rating of 112dB @ .003% THD. 90+ dB of channel separation.
4. This is a personal note. Please be careful. This device is capable of causing permanent hearing damage. It is immediately obvious that extreme sound pressure levels are easily achieved. Achtung !! is the first thing noted in the owner's manual. It comes in both German and English.
