Mr Smith Goes to Washington
One of my all-time favorite movies! We watch this movie on the night befeore elections every election year as a reminder of how important it is to elect people who have integrity and who love America, which is what this movie is really about.

Great collection of Short Stories
My son just joined the 10th Mountain Division so naturally I wanted to learn what I could. This is a great collection of gritty short stories from the journals and memories of the men who first formed the 10th Mountain Division and fought in the Alaska Aleutians and Italian Mounatins of WWII. It is pretty graphic, as you would expect of a war book, and doesn't go beyond what happened to the Division after WWII. But it sure tells how it got started. Strap on your skiis and try to keep up!

On being a Man of God in the area of Marriage
1 of 2 found this helpful As I have oft told my five sons "Do not marry a Christian girl...instead hold out for a godly woman," the author here nails what we, as men, should BE in our search for a mate, and Who we should be waiting on for guidance. Even though the book was written a few years ago, it is timely and counter-cultural. If you are looking for a "feel good" book, or something which conforms to "liberal philosophy or doctrine" to assuage those instincts, this is not it. But if you want real answers from Scripture, this book is for you. This missionary woman lost her first husband, Jim Elliot, to an Auca’s spear-tip. She lost her second husband too. She is married to Lars. She knows men, she knows God’s Word and she knows women. It’s the perfect gift for a young man who believes he is ready to start courting…I read it right before I met my wife, and we have been happily married for 21 years.
