Emits an annoyingly loud, high-pitched whining sound.

The fans emit a high-pitched whining sound that kind of sounds like a loud "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." It sounds like coil whine on a graphics card, only it's not a graphics card, but three small fans. Not sure how well they work in terms of cooling, as I removed the fans after a day. Positives: •Fits in a 5.25" drive bay, which is exactly what I needed it for. •Can be used to cool a hard drive. Negatives: •Emits a high-pitched whine that cannot be tuned out.
