A great movie for time with close family & friends
The thoroughly engaging tale of one man who discovers the winning jackpot lottery ticket in his small village, and how he gradually evolves from a selfish schemer to ultimately being willing to give it all up to do the right thing, and masterminding a plan to allow the entire village to benefit. It’s about grimes giving way to caring, selfishness being overcome by service, and choosing the greater good over individual gain. All that and it’s hilarious how it vas ll comes about.

Great way to read “The Dark Fields” on the cheap!
When books serve as the inspiration for a movie, it’s always interesting to compare the two. I loved the movie. I own it, have watched it several times, enjoy it more each time. Now, having read the book, I experienced a mix of expectation and surprise, as the similarities were outshined by the differences. Without giving away any spoilers, imagine a basic story line with two vastly different f
eels and endings. Both are worthy in their own way. I will definitely reread the book.
