i have owned many subwoofers these last few years BK,SVS,VELODYNE,MA,MK,KEF,SUNFIRE to name but a few.i have a large lounge and my Bk was struggling to fill it as I would like so I purchased this on ebay, just to play with really, looking for a bit more lowdown enforcement. Frankly very impressed, coming from a brand that's not renowned for subs and not at all expensive, it does what I was looking for exceptionally well. so well done Wharfedale, for the money well made and performs well at its level and probably above, it does not go very very low , but all things considered, great value.

good for size

Good sub for size, also using an svs that goes louder and deeper but wanted a smaller sub to top up mid bass in a large room So good for small room but does not go that low which it wouldn't for an 8 inch unit, if you are pressed for space though its better than the velodyne spl 800 I had earlier, it goes deeper probably same spl. Hum can be a problem with most subs and this is no different but not that much of a problem.
