The fragility of the human soul is evident.
I came to Nick Drake late, but I found that once you start to expore his music you are entering into an intimate relationship with an artist who is offering you everything. Fragility of a human soul is evident, the melancholic mood of the music stirs the soul.
But there is also joyousness to this album in particular, take it on a long country drive and just enjoy it accompanied by the sound of the birds in trees.

rare hammond recording
Gary Baldwin was a hammond player I wasn't all that familiar with until purchasing the cd. This album delves quite deep into the hammond tradition with groove based workouts alongside ballads, quite reminiscent of the great Jimmy Mcgriff and Jimmy Smith recordings of old. Not a recent recording, but if you appreciate the jazz organ tradition this is a must for your collection.
