Under-Rated Gem

I saw this movie in the 80s and have been looking for it since I started my movie collection. It's kind of an unrated horror movie, and I finally understand the plot points I didn't get before.

Bad Movie only worth as a Collector's Item

I pretty much purchased this movie for it's collector's value. It's a German film that's badly dubbed, and the plot is very light. It really could use a restoration as the sound and quality lag a bit, and I recommend the opening porn hostess segment as it's just a distraction. It has a really unnecessary secondary nympho porn scene within the film that means nothing to the plot. I really became aware of the flick on "Halloween Monster Bash," a 1990s Halloween special that mocked and ripped apart bad movies. The movie concerns a group tourists staying overnight in a haunted castle with a host who was a Nazi officer in the Second World War. They are joined by a woman (actress Erika Brandt) who shows up and starts killing everyone in deaths linked to their vices. A priest tries to save their souls, battling the devil as a result. It could have been a great horror movie, but it's not. Bottom line, this flick would only appeal to fans of German horror or just horror in general, or maybe the European architecture featured in it, but it's just a bad horror flick.
