I use for electronics hobby project. It is useful grab round object. I also use silicon tube for the pins to increase grabing force.

Alternative to stock probe
May be my applicatios are different from others but compared with standard stock probes that comes with DMM are bulky and excessively exposed long conductors with dull tip. It is difficult to access small area with bare metals are.
This probe is useful for me when I need to access such as SMD because the probe is slim and only small portion of needle tip is exposed and sharp (to avoid short each other).
