Good But......

Previously I had a Road angel Compact which worked perfectly until I no longer had a PC with Windows XP on it - Can't update anymore with Windows 7. So 'Upgraded" to the Professional Connected version which looks the part does the part BUT and its a big BUT the battery only lasts for 4-5 hours!!! It does come with a charger but its a trickle charger and on a long journey is woefully inadequate at keeping the unit charged. You have to charge it every 2 days even when using it on normal journeys, using the mains charger. To get over this I had it Hardwired to the car, a Peugeot 307SW 110Hdi. Sadly the car is too clever for itself as after half an hour it shuts off any electrics that may be draining power!!! SO it can't be left in the car to charge.(it was hidden from view in the roof with the both sensors outside) On contacting Road Angel about this flaw they could offer no solution. The unit has now been sold and I Bought a Sat Nav with camera detector etc.,
