Nice table for precision drilling, but not really suitable for milling IMO.
Works very well for the purpose I want if for, which is accurate drilling on a drill press. Not sure I'd trust it for milling, where the lateral loads would be much higher but could probably be made suitable with a bit of work.
The table came well packaged and is generally well engineered, the sliding surfaces operate smoothly with little play and there are some nice touches- graduated metric scales on the leadscrew handwheels, and a metric distance scale on each axis. Not so good is the amount of lost movement in the leadscrews themselves, on mine the X dimension has 0.3mm at worst and it varies across the travel range so both the leadscrew and nut are at fault. The Y dimension is a little better. Still works well for drilling provided one works 'one way' for measurement, and locks the table before drilling. The table locks are actually the central of three gib strip adjusters on each axis, again these are adequate for drilling but I wouldn't trust them for milling.

Work ok but they are a bit on the thin side- easily squashed flat when handling

An excellent scanner
Bought for a project to digitise 30 years worth of family photos on 35mm colour negative and slide film. It's very good at what it does, and output quality is limited mainly by the quality of the original exposure. I have it set up through a PCIe FireWire card on a Windows 10 64 bit desktop PC running Nikon Scan 4.03, and it all runs smoothly. The snag is that Nikon Scan is old software not designed for current operating systems- initial setup requires a bit of fiddling to load non digitally signed drivers. A bit scary but there is plenty of guidance on how to do this available on the web, which worked for me. If you don't fancy the fiddling then Vuescan is native to current OS and works well.
One drawback is that full resolution files (TIFF or NEF 4000 ppi in 48 bit colour) are huge at 120mb. That seems to be true of any scanner or software. It's possible to save in lower resolution, or in jpeg, to reduce size but that reduces the scope for post processing.
