Nice sound but unable to tune top 'e' string
I used to use and love Martin strings but in the past few years I switched to D'addario. I thought I would try these Lifespan strings to see if they kept their tone longer. They may well do that but the slap-dash manufacture of my top 'e' string means that I will revert to D'addario. In a nutshell, after stringing I could not keep the 1st string in tune. I checked everything and thought the string was stretching. After a few frustrating hours I slackened off the string and removed the peg so I could put another string on. As I did so, the string finally lost its grip and came off the metal lug. The string wasn't stretching but it was unwinding off the metal lug and going flat!
