Hey Vern, It's Ernest! is one of the most entertaining, virtuosic pieces of art I've ever witnessed, not unlike what is featured in the Smithsonian.
1 of 1 found this helpful This immaculate piece of television history is wildly engaging and immensely entertaining. Jim Varney is a god amongst men, and has the acting skills to show for it. This program has taught me a ridiculous amount of new and interesting facets of life and existentialism I had never before fathomed. I must say, if there is a downside, it's that this program is not for the mentally dissonant. It trusts the viewer to take in new information at a fast pace and be able to making psychological connections like critical thinking, analysis of the world around you, and the comprehension of a genius to even grapple the concept of what this show offers. Beneath it's charming 80s aesthetic, it is powerfully driven by characters and their interactions. This is one of the best peices of film history ever conceived.
