Decent entry level ham mobile
1 of 1 found this helpful Understand that this is NOT a Yaesu, but then again it's not $200 or more either. The power output is selectable between 5 and 10 watts which is not a great amount for simplex but should be adequate for hitting your local repeater. I would guess that it might would also make a good starting point for a unit to drag around to a Field Day event although the limited power output might be a problem. The audio is clear and programming is fairly straightforward using Chirp. It's not the best deal out there by any means, but for the money invested I'm quite satisfied with this little radio.

Titebond III
