Canon Powershot SD 630
3 of 3 found this helpful The wonders of technology! I already own a Canon Powershot 5oo that I purdhased about 6 years ago for about twice the price. The new SD630 is smaller with higher definition capabilities, simpler function controls and best of all, at almost half what I paid for my Powershot 500.
I can directly download pictures to my computer or my printer without card readers and with the program disk the SD630 works with almost any brand PC's.
I wonder if in another 6 years the price is going to drop again?

Sony Handycam
4 of 4 found this helpful I currently own a Canon movie camera and for it's time it was one of the best investments that I made. But as with anything else technology advances so quickly that it trickles down to everything including camcorders.
This Sony Handycam is one of the closes thing to idiot proof. The impressive feature that accomplishes this, the touch screen. You don't have to fidget turning knobs or pushing buttons and as usually the case, eveything is small, so may mean to push this button but end upwatching grandma's birthday party.
This feature is on other models of Sony camcorders- I chose this model because it also has something similar to night vision, pretty cool. So for a camera with a bunch of features, easy operation, night vision and did I mention my wife can operate this camera, it works for me for the time being until they get smaller, faster, lighter, etc.
