Compelling series with supernatural elements
The Cainsville books are a compelling series, I bought the first and before I was half way through was looking for the other four - and none of them disappointed.
A woman finds out she is not the natural daughter of the wealthy people who raised her shortly before her wedding. Her natural parents are in fact serving sentences for serial murder.
So her life is already turned upside down, and she is being hounded by the press and those affected by the murders. But they aren't the only ones interested in her; there is a lot more to her heritage than she could expect, or possibly even believe, and her move to a sleepy little town with no train or bus and ten miles from the freeway is not the escape she first thinks, nor are the 'people' she meets lacking in knowledge of who - and what - she is.

Intelligent humour
Excellent witty writing with a wry look at the world. I don't understand all the Americanisms, and some readers of tender years may not fully sympathise with some of the viewpoints, but everyone who reads this will find bits that make them laugh out loud.

Mad, zany and entertaining - I love it!
My daughter is doing this as her school play this year, so that was my excuse to buy the DVD. Just as mad and funny as I remembered it! While being almost entirely comical, the plant did make me shiver a bit....Thoroughly recommended!
