Reinforce the mountg clips with glue
First one flew off the first time I drove over 60 mph. The clips broke off the trim piece. The clips stayed on the fj cruiser. The plastic that held the mounting clips on the trim piece was briitle.
I bought a second one and rienforced the clips with exterior construction adhesive.
Has stayed on over 75 mph in high winds after I glued it.
