Lightweight and perfect for a spotting scope, a bit unstable for photographic work.
2 of 2 found this helpful I needed an effective tripod, for a reasonable price, at short notice to use with a spotting scope and this one suited the bill. It is *pretty* stable. But does take a bit of time to stablise when the scope is moved or adjusted. This is presumably because the main attachment point on the tripod for the scope is plastic rather than metal, and the whole thing is lightweight rather than sturdy. It suited my needs very well, as I was looking at birds from a hide - for this it worked perfectly. However, if I was using it with a camera to take photographs, I would find it a bit frustrating.
