A great value!
As advertised, it works with Linux and no added driver needed. Just plug it in and it works. As you might expect with such a small package, it needs a pretty good wifi signal to work well. It won't reach as far as a typical phone but it does fine for me from about 40' and through two walls. My laptop with a recent Linux Mint identifies it as "MediaTek 802.11n"

REALLY quiet, REALLY efficient
I was surprised at how quiet it is. And how efficient. And how it can be the sole source of non-resistive heat in our coldest spells. Not demonstrated but it is supposed to supply rated non-resistive heat down to zero F. Our area has never seen temperatures below about 10 deg F.

Great for an RV
I bought this as an alternative to a propane burner in my Sprinter conversion RV. At times, I use a 2kw inverter to supply 120vac from the "house" 12vdc battery. I initially sized the inverter to run my microwave oven. I was pleased to discover that this induction "burner" could work well even when heat levels were limited to 1kw or less.
The only downside with this, and other induction cookers, is that you must choose your pots carefully.
