not all killer, but not just filler
In retrospect, series 6 of Buffy feels a little like filler between series 5 (glory) and series 7 (the final series). This may be unfair, because, as always it is hugely entertaining, and in every series there is at least one episode which is slightly below par. The series contains the musical show 'once more with feeling'and actually packs a lot in, in a lot of different ways. It does seem to lack focus as there is no major league threat figures such as Adam or Glory, filling this gap with the 3 teenage would be crime lords of Sunneydale, whose activies start out merely troubling but spiral downward into murder. The last episodes are quite explosive. If anything the trio are the series weak spot, and some of their 'devices' are simply farcical. But then again, quality wise the dialogue is still hitting the spot about 10 times out of 10, so if you appreciate BTVS, its definitely money not wasted. Yeah, im glad I went for it.

Mixed bag. With the good stuff exploding out like alien
If I had only heard the first two tracks on this CD I would not have brought it. Too much R&B, but then I dont like R&B. This is fairly 'early' Rolling Stones, and the first two tracks are R&B covers 'mercy mercy' and 'hitch hike'. It is hugely different from later productions such as beggars banquet and let it bleed, (so if you are after something like that then this maybe is not for you) but it starts to move more toward rock, and away from covers toward their own compositions with 'The Last Time' and 'Satisfaction' on it, which are really the stand out tracks, and show the Stones as developing their own thing, and just how good that thing is. The album does have a wide range of musical styles on it apart from the R&B stuff, with quite powerful ballards such as 'thats how strong my love is' which is surprisingly good. Cry to me does soul quite well. Tracks such as 'good times' are too smooth and sound like drifters wannabees, but at least this is short and ultimately followed by 'satisfaction' 'The spider and the fly' is witty, and the folky 'play with fire' seems almost medaevil. It seems surprising to cover such a lot of musical ground on one disk, but if all of them are done well it pretty much works, and i guess there is something there for everybody. On the US version that is as the English version has different tracks. If you are after a specific track then you would be wise to check. The covers also vary between US/UK and album, so you need to be sure what you are getting. I would, if possible also go for the SACD remastered item.

Have only watched the first disk, special effects are, of course, of their time, but entertaining. I dont feel the money was wasted
