Item from the 1970s. Gum sticks were inside. Over the years, with different storage temperature swings gum sweated onto cards. As shown. Well packed fast shipping. Thank you.

The Master Ghost Hunter: A Life of Elliott O'Donnell (Paperback or Softback)
09 Jun, 2021
Elliott O'Donnell revealed!
Elliott O'Donnell is probably my favorite author of "true ghost stories."While his critics scold him for changing the names of people and individuals, I find his tales deliver the eerie mood that I want in a ghost story--true or not. I have long wondered about the man himself, but there was little information to be found until Richard Whittington Egan's biography. The biographer sets up the foundation for this book, establishing O'Donnell's family history and how supernatural occurrences were an inseparable part of his family tradition. With a family banshee and Elliott's contact with an elemental being when he was five years old, it seems he was destined to become a master ghost hunter. Egan's tone is at once informative and friendly. I am still in the early parts of the book, but it is a journey I take enthusiastically!
HARVEY HORRORS COLLECTED WORKS - BLACK CAT MYSTERY vols 1-5 1st ed TP fine UK IM

The cat came back!
I love good horror comics. The comics reprint title HAUNTED HORROR introduced me to a lot of comics titles I would have never gotten to sample otherwise. I found I like a pretty good number of the stories reprinted from Harvey Comics titles like BLACK CAT MYSTERY. The art wasn't as consistently good as that of EC Comics, but one can seldom miss with the likes of Howard Nostrand (who did a very good Jack Davis imitation), Bob Powell, and Lee Elias (who mostly illustrated covers). Even art director Warren Kremer (better known for his CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST comics) executed some wonderful, horrific covers for the Harvey Horrors line. PS Artbooks has done a great job of restoring these comics to their the way they looked when first published. I've long felt the hardcover editions were a little too pricey to collect a large series like this. I was delighted when PS Artbooks decided to issue these books in a more affordable "softies" series. Now I won nearly all of the Harvey Horrors! I am hoping they decide to extend the Softies line to some of the other horror reprints they've unleashed in hardcover. If they do, I will certainly buy more of them. I highly recommend these to fans of pre-code horror comics. These, along with Yoe Books' "Chilling Archives of Horror Comics" series, are the best value and quality for pre-code horror!
Abominable (DVD, 2006) Dee Wallace Stone,Jeffrey Combs B437

A fun, old style monster movie!
Matt McCoy plays a man, who was on a rock climbing with his wife. There was a terrible accident, which killed her and rendered him confined to a wheelchair. Six months later, he is brought back to his cabin by a male home health aid, who is actually pretty bad at his job. In order to occupy his time, Matt's character surveys the grounds with a pair of binoculars. A group of 20-something women move into a nearby cabin...a bigfoot-like monster also wanders into the vicinity and starts picking off the girls, with Matt's character frantically trying to warn the group and his disbelieving health aide of the danger. The movie is reminiscent of Hitchcock's VERTIGO with a monster instead of a human murderer. ABOMINABLE is a pretty satisfying monster movie with old school practical effects. Lance Henrickson and Jeffrey Combs have only small supporting roles, but the screen time they do have is used well. Their characters are fun! ABOMINABLE is out of print, but if you don't have to pay a fortune for it, it offers a good entertainment value.
