A good dictionary
Dictionaries can be unexciting and, indeed, this book's content is not "compelling"! But the book is in excellent condition and Oxford makes the most widely admired Russian dictionaries. A good value, an old Soviet-era book, and I am pleased to have it.

A splendid coffee cup
The coffee cup has the colorful and classy seal of Ghana on it and no other writing, making the cup both attractive and intriguing. Good quality china and easy to hold.

Good coffee maker
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased this coffee maker largely to determine how well the carafe kept coffee warm (compared to glass decanters). I drink a lot of coffee and follow the rule: "If it has been on the warmer for 60 minutes, throw it away and brew another cup." Overall, the carafe will keep coffee drinkable for at least double the time that a glass pot on a warmer will. Best is if you preheat the carafe with hot water; if you do, the coffee stays drinkable for at least three hours. So, I am pleased with the carafe feature.
As for the coffee maker, my preference has always been cone-shaped filters and I still think they make better coffee than basket-shaped filters because there is greater contact time. I retain that belief but this coffee maker is decent. You need some space to the right of the coffee maker to remove the basket, and to the left to remove the reservoir, so you either need to have lots of space around the coffee maker or pull it out from between other appliances to make coffee. The controls are excellent and the design is very appealing.
