Manhunter DVD
1 of 1 found this helpful This is Mike Manns 81 version of Red Dragon. Starring Wiliam Peterson and Kim Grist as Wil Graham and his wife. It is noted for its moody and atmospheric direction along with an excellent soundtrack. Many prefer this film to the Ridley Scott Red Dragon which is rather dry in comparison. Some dialogue is word for word in both films, but Manhunter has an ending different from the book (which may distance some). There is a fair amount of the soundtrack music on Utube including a very good 10 min compilation. I just saw Red Dragon the other nite and although more complete and true to the novel, I still much prefer this film. Manns soundtrack adds another dimension to the film. As an example: in the scene involving a tiger, Manns choice of music is so effective it makes the Ridley Scott scene loose all meaning, it just has no impact.

Very fun listenable high quality well mastered oldies com[i;ation highly re
I have purchased a number of the time/Life compilations and for me this is the most enjoyable. The Dick Clark set has the most listenable selection of songs (Hits) and at least on my systems including 3 home systems and two different car stereos the best sonics. The songs are very smooth and extended sounding, none of the harsh, peaky mastering I have encountered on other CDs and compilations. All in all a great fun listening experience.

Excellent and outstanding
Has sound comparable to my Mac preamp/poweramps in another room. Its running a pair of B and W 802Ds and the sound is flawless. Never heard any receiver sound this accurate, delicate and dynamic. Very quiet, a bit to learn, but not bad. I believe Sony hit its high end stride with this series of Receivers.
