Heil PR22 Ut Microphone

My go-to vocal mic

I love the Heil PR-22 vocal mic for live vocals, both male & female. The gain before feedback is superior to the Shure SM-58, and we get lots of compliments on the vocal tone quality.

Gator GM-16-MIC-WP Waterproof Microphone Case

Great for SM-58s & similar sized mics

For years, I've been carrying mics to the gig in soft cases designed for other uses, which was not a problem, as I did mostly indoor shows. But after getting rained on at outdoor shows a few times this summer, I decided to get a waterproof case. I considered the 24 mic variety, but decided that 16 would meet my needs most of the time. I love the way the latches work, and the case is light and appears water tight. My only beef is that I use a number of mics that are longer than SM-58s (EV RE-510, Heil PR-22, etc.), and they do not comfortably fit with the case closed. I can get the case closed, but I feel it is too snug -- so I place these mics in the side compartment, which I'd intended to use for mic clips and pop filters. Otherwise, I'd rate it 5 stars. Overall, however, I recommend this case!

Be careful when bidding on 1/2 inch tape - picture is clearly wider

Be careful when bidding non-standard thinner tape - picture is clearly wider than 0.5 inch. For instance, if you did a search on "2 gaffer," and sorted by price, this will likely appear first in result.
