Easy on the fingers and last a long time.
I like Rotosound RB45 for their slinky feel which means they are easier to play for long periods of time. They also hold their intonation well which means they last longer giving better value for money.

Gotoh Bass Tuners GB707 : Quality engineering, quality performance and sensible price.
These tuners were used to replace the tuners on a budget Ibanez bass. They were simple to fit as they are a direct replacement but they are far superior in terms of materials and build quality. The main shaft is thicker than the original tuners, one of which had broken, I'm expecting these to be working for years. Due to the the thicker shaft they are easier to fine tune as the each turn is more sensitive and so far tuning stability has been exceptional.
