Great Full HD camcorder, great features for budding film-maker! Recommended.
Having bought an earlier model of the Speed HD camcorder range a year back (HD-8Z) from a different seller,a camera which for the money offered a great HD picture in good lighting conditions, but had a terrible onboard microphone and limited zoom (5X Optical),I was hoping to find an updated model which could boast a microphone input,as well as greater optical zoom, and possibly an on-board mic which didnt pick up so much 'mechanical noise' from the camera's zoom motor.I came across this model, the Speed HD-120T a month or two ago, searching the web.It boasted features that I had been looking for in an affordable 1080P camcorder.I must say here that while I do enjoy video editing & production as a hobby, like many others I do crave the best possible results/quality for each project I undertake, with a limited budget.Having learned from tutorials etc, best possible lighting conditions is needed to gain good to great HD quality, regardless of camera's price tag. With this said, unless you plan each shot to include some form of lighting, you will be disappointed somewhat with the results, especially for indoor shooting. Most of these budget 1080P camcorders can suffer from an odd 'jelly effect' in where the picture seems to wobble,a result I think from low shutter speeds.Good lighting can greatly reduce this & even eliminate it.The HD-120T however boasts some great features, that at least encourage you to think more creativly and focus on getting the shot right. With a 12X Optical zoom, while not being massive,it certainly benefits from having a Tamron lens fitted,as well as being an improvement on my previous camera's 5X zoom.Only slight mechanical noise is picked up with HD-120T.Sadly the '3.5mm Microphone input' has so far proven to be quite a let down, with the recorded sound being greatly compressed, causing that horrible low bit rate MP3 effect.I tested both a high quality drum kit pencil mic,as well as a camera shotgun mic, each being connected with a 2M XLR to 3.5mm cable. However I didnt want to write this review until my 16GB SDHC CLASS 10 card arrived, which will hopefully be a big improvement over my 8GB SDHC CLASS 4 card, both in terms of bit rates and overall quality.I'm still waiting for the damn card, but am hopeful that the higher class will greatly improve the recorded audio quality,as it might even make the camera capable of achieving 24MBPS! The maximum a 1080P camera can achieve to date. With my Class 4 card,Im getting bit rates of around 13MBPS.The HD-120T can house TWO 16GB SDHC CLASS 6 cards, meaning once you have reached the capacity of Card 'A', you can continue to record straight onto Card 'B',giving you 32GB per shoot! A possible 3/4hrs in 1080P I think.Back to sound recording,I find that using a portable Mini Disk recorder with a '3.5mm mic input' and a decent mic,can produce great results, which you can just synch to your camera in post.I will be using this technique in future, unless the new card greatly improves the HD-120T's 'mic input' quality. The camera's build quality is very good, with solid buttons, some concealed behind a massive 3.5" touchscreen monitor.Outdoor shots in 1080P can be mesmerising, indoor shooting can also be surprisingly good, however an LED video light would be essential to avoid any great quality loss.I would recommend one of the models that have about 126 LED's on ebay.HDMI cable supplied only previews 1080i,so I just plug cam into my blurray players USB to achieve great 1080P playback.Overall great camera!

My favourite ever Crash Cymbal
Stagg Cymbals have to be the most underrated on the market. Offering a wide range of high quality, hand hammered cymbals, their fantastic value for money, and easily compete with their main competitors, and exceeding them in my opinion. This model is my all time favourite Crash cymbal.

Amazing soundtrack to an amazing show
Incredibly good album, written especially for the awesome Amazon Prime show. A must buy for fans of Fleetwood Mac in particular, and that classic 70's Rock sound. The record itself is well made, has a sturdy sleeve, cool design and fold out poster included.
