Rob Roy: Great story of good vs evil
THis movie is very earthy-- not for kids. I liked the story and found it intriguing. My husband fell asleep after the first half hour. So I guess different strokes for different folks. It is not exciting as in "cops and robbers," since the action is not constant. But if you are patient, it is a good story with political intrigue, a battle of wits, honor vs treachery, and a satisfactory ending.

Father Brown: You will like it
1 of 1 found this helpful My husband and I love the British murder mysteries, and since we're Catholic, this series held a special interest. We were not disappointed, as the screenplays stayed true to Catholic teachings, portraying the priest in a good light, and interspersing Chestertonian quotations. We quickly went through sets 1 and 2, and loaned them out to friends.

Well-kept secret
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this movie in DVD format, as our family had watched it years ago in VHS. It was even better than remembered. The acting was great-- not surprising considering the cast-- but the impact of the film on one's faith is what makes it special. Highly recommended to students of history and to Catholic families as a source of inspiration.
