An excellent little module
The HTU21D is an excellent little sensor with good library support on both Arduino and Raspberry Pi -- I had it working on both in no time at all. It has has better precision and accuracy than the DHT22, and the I2C interface is simple to use. Not that the I2C device address is 40, and it is not possible to change this.

Don't bin your laptop for want of a charging socket
My Samsung RC710 laptop has been great, but then I burnt myself on the outrageously hot charging plug as I pulled it out. A close inspection revelad that the charging socket was cracked, causing a high resistance connection and enough heat to start melting the plastic on the plug. If you have the skill and equipment, it's easy enough to replace on the motherboard. You'll need to remove the heatsink, so you'll also need thermal compound for when you put it back. The replacement is a perfect fit and runs cool as a cucumber. The original charging plug fits into it securely with no wobble. Why can't all laptop spares be as good quality, and as good value, as this?

Save your sweeper from landfill and save money too.
A slipping belt on a Gtech sweeper is not hard to recognise. It's not hard to replace, either, thanks to videos on youtube. This replacement belt brought our years-old sweeper back to life for very little money and helped, just a little, to save the planet by prolonging the life of an appliance.
