Roku - Streaming Stick with Remote (2016 Model: 3600R) - Black ✔ BRAND NEW ✔

Good, but with restricted use depending where you want to use it.

Much time was spent researching the properties of streaming 'devices' as in the UK the BBC are switching some of their TV content to the internet. The main reason for getting a 'streaming device' was to be able to use the BBC's iPlayer which will be migrating from terrestrial TV. Sadly this new Roku Stick Model 3600R, with a much improved spec, is only for the US market and WILL NOT decode any of the BBC channels, nor is there any intention that it should! Now, there is no indication in the description nor on the packaging that where you use it is conditional, nor is there any mention of a restricted territorial use, which in the global marketplace is a great disadvantage. So, a good bit of kit, but restricted in use, buyer beware.

A means to an end!

Purchased to fulfil a need to send video clips in an exhibition powerpoint from VGA to HDMI. Does the job straight from the box (bag), and will do what I need. However I did notice some 'noise' in the signal which may detract from a real film or video where HD quality is needed. Otherwise good, thank you.
