A Useful Hunk of Iron
How do you rate an Iron Bar? It connects two 1.15 inch dumbbells to make a barbell. The quality of manufacture is quite adequate, and it does what it is intended to do. The advantage is that I save space and eliminate a modicum of redundancy where I store my exercise equipment.

WRT Mefoto Monopod
This thing is solid enough to use as a real walking stick, and light enough to be carried on a several mile walk. I chose to loose the compass in favor of adding a tripod socket and frame for holding my smartphone camera. It works remarkably well, which is good since at 74 holding the phone steady after walking a few miles can get a bit tedious.
