Nikon D50
After much deliberation, I finally chose to buy a used Nikon D50 DSLR camera. Having read many reviews the D50 seemed the best option to make use of my extensive collection of Nikon AF-D & AF-G lenses. Other options that were considered that offered full compatibility were the D90, and the D200 (all having a built in motor to drive the AF function of my older lenses) The reviews suggested that other than the D90 being capable of a few extra options, the D50 had very fast handling, and image processing capability for both the amateur and pro photographer. The D50 has a solid feel to it for a camera constructed mainly of plastic, it supports the latest Nikon creative lighting system speedlights offering both i-ttl and remote flash operation when using suitable SB600 and SB800 models. The image quality is impressive for a 6MPixel camera, and the standard 18-55mm zoom lense supplied is quiet in operation and shows good optical results. I have yet to compare the AF-D lenses to determine a comparison, having used these lenses extensively on my D65 film body. My only slight disappointments are the limited support for SD flash cards. The D50 does not support SDHC cards, and the maximum card size that is compatible is 2GB. That said this card will still hold over 550 fine resolution images. Also there is no video mode, but this is quite common on DSLR cameras in this price range. All in all the Nikon D50 is a good all round performer if you are looking for a sensibly priced Digital SLR, and are not worried about the big resolution numbers offered by some compact and pro-sumer cameras. In my opinion, the results from the D50 are still sharper and more vivid than some cameras offering twice the resolution, due to the Nikon quality and optics.

Best tuner I own.
Shame it's been discontinued, this is by far the best tuner that I have ever bought (I have 2 now) and have tried dozens of other makes and models. Nothing comes close to this one.
