Does all it should. Seems well made.
It is quite comfortable and feels a bit more solid than the very cheap ones. Time will tell on reliability but so far so good. Good value!

Fine for the Humax box but doesn't control TV.
It controls the FoxSat box perfectly and has almost identical button layout - good. It cannot control other devices, such as the TV set, DVD, soundbar - which the original remote does. This means using a separate remote to turn the TV on and off - bit of a drawback. The original remote is at least £11 dearer however.

Not sure how well it could work
It did not work well for me. I tried a variety of Cat5e cables but only one combination worked at all and that gave a poor picture.
