Very Pleasing, good performance with decent opperating system
1 of 1 found this helpful The dual boot view pad 10 has been very good, I got this version as I wanted this version primarily because it runs full widows 7. the android side is ok, though dose not have full market access.
the Windows 7 side boots quickly and is suprisingly good with the touch screen, the windows software does use a sizeable chunk of the 16gb system memory. It runs everybit as fast as my wifes dual core laptop and a good deal faster than my office machine.
Battery life is ok, not as good as some tablets out there but still very useable.
Overall I am very pleased with this product.

Nuvi 1690, europe made easy
6 of 6 found this helpful I have had an old Garmin satnav for a number of years and the Nuvi 1690 came up at a good price when I was looking to upgrade.
I have just used it to drive from London, England to Palma on the island of Mallorca and back.
It performed perfectly, good clear 3D image, nice clear loud voice directions including road names via the Text to Speech function.
The built in Google seach function proved very useful when I got to palma and discovered the address I had been given was wrong. I simply entered the business name into the google function and problem solved.
The Nu-link traffic and speedcamera services worked all along the route and on the way back saved me alot of time by routing me around a nasty accident outside paris.
The Eco function that gives you a score as to how economical your driving is seemed gimikey at first but becomes quite addictive to get the number up that extra few digits.
Overall I was very impressed and would recomend the Garmin Nuvi 1690 to anyone, it is possibly the best GPS I have used, It dosen't play games, take photos or double up as a movie player which In my opinion is a good thing as it means it just does navigation!
