one good one bad

I bought one of these and it makes great coffee so I bought a second one for my office. Unfortunately the second one grinds the coffee much finer than the first one I bought and this affects the taste. I use the permanent filter with the 1st pot and get some fines and the coffee tastes great. Using the permanent filter with the second pot gets mud full of fines with a bitter taste. Using paper filters the second pot makes average coffee. I haven't found a way to adjust the grind as it is set at factory without a way to adjust.
