Compact and a little fragile, but efficient.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a micro ATX case rotated 90 degrees. The long front to back length of the micro ATX case becomes the tall top to bottom height and vice versa. This greatly improves the layout and allowed that case to accept everything I needed to put in it. The front, left side, and back of the case have holes for airflow, and the back and left side panel have mounting holes all over the place to allow the mounting of just about any fan or similar accessory available. The one concern is the sheet metal used to make the case is thin so the case is rather fragile and you have to be careful about not stripping screws and the like.
In this case, there's room for a mid size ATX motherboard and the power supply without cramming the power supply on top of the motherboard, and also allows for 2 DVD drive bays and 1 floppy drive bay. The motherboard mounts on a metal backplate on the right side of the case, so the CPU and heatsink are facing right at the airholes in the left panel and are in the airstream going from the front to the back of the case. This allows the CPU and heatsink to breathe with the result being the CPU runs about 10 degrees C cooler than if a mid size ATX motherboard were in a standard micro ATX case that could accept it. If a plastic cone is mounted to the inside of the left side panel, the CPU runs about another 4 degrees C cooler still.
The tradeoff is there's little space between the power supply and the back of the DVD drives. A full length DVD drive would require some work getting the power connector inserted. However, most DVD drives are about 1.5 inches shorter and present no problems. Further, power connectors and wires don't need to breathe, so this is a good tradeoff. This case accepts two 3.5 inch hard drives, which mount on a metal beam under the front of the left side panel.

All CPUs fit properly into the motherboa...
All CPUs fit properly into the motherboard and 2 out of 3 CPUs so far have tested good with Prime95 for 2 hours or more. The 3rd CPU is expected to test good.
