Great drive
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this drive to use with a softmodded Wii console. With a little tweaking it works perfectly for that.
Liked:
This drive is quiet, runs cool, has plenty of space, is extremely small, and very sleek looking. I have had it for nearly 3 months now and no problems.
Didn't Like:
I'm not a big fan of auto-launch software, and the moment you plug this drive into a Windows machine it tries to stealthily install a bunch of support software. I wouldn't have even noticed it if not for the fact that I never log into my machines as an admin, and the install fails without admin rights. I did eventually have to install the software in order to turn off the "spin down" power save settings on the drive. I don't know for certain that it is related, but after installing the bundled software, my computer lost connectivity to my optical drives - I uninstalled the software and eventually had to re-seat cables on the drives to get them to appear again. Might just be coincidence.
This drive uses a proprietary USB plug, which is quite annoying. The bundled cable is long enough for most applications, but God forbid it should ever break or become lost.
Verdict:
Despite the fact that I devoted more space to dislikes, the benefits far outweigh the little annoyances and this is a really good drive. I'm thinking about buying more when the prices come down a little further.

Poor quality junk
1 of 1 found this helpful This cable is so badly made that the one I received didn’t even have the right audio channel connected and worse, the impedance on the composite video channel was so high that the image came out black and white. Cables are a very simple thing to get right but there’s no quality control with these.

A great example of 80's style arena rock...
A great example of 80's style arena rock by ex-Kansas members. The Gold Disc reissue is very well done and will supposedly last longer than normal CDs. Sounds excellent.
