Effective
This machine replaces a 1000w model which failed after four years of use. The strimmer spool is a poor feature which I replaced with one from my broken machine. I use 2.4mm stimmer line which lasts longer than the thinner variety which the manufacturers recommend. In fact the line which is supplied with this machine is totally inadequate meaning that it breaks even when used on grass let alone in rougher areas. The power cable is longer than the 1000w version and the slightly higher power means that the machine can cope with tougher undergrowth and the re-design on the attachment fixing means that the old problem of the attachment twisting in use is a thing of the past. Old attachments however do not work with this machine as they need a plug on them, so when fitted to the machine they do not run. WHY CAN'T A BRITISH MANUFACTURER MAKE SUCH A USEFUL AN ECONOMICAL MACHINE SUCH AS THIS?

Small but ideal as I live on my own
I bought this because it was cheaper than getting my old one repaired. I make bread but one has to be accurate concerning the quantities one uses. I produces small loaves but, unfortunately, does not heat up enough to make jam. The recipes are a bit limited and it is difficult to adapt ones I used on my last machine because it is so small.
