Buy gale force 9 instead.
I guess part of the review is i wasnt sure what "synthetic canvas" was. I was hoping it was up to par with gale force 9's maps..its not. just getting it out of the mailing tube, i irreparably creased it, so it now has "pleats" or "crinkling" on the edges. It doesnt roll out flat, maybe with repeat rolling up on the "wrong" side, it will lay flat. but for my first use i had to put four coke cans on the edges.
the actual printing is alright, its better than just a solid shade of green.
My concern is it just isnt going to stand up to repeated use, as i said its already a little crinkly from getting it out of the mailing tube, so im not optimistic it will stand up to getting played with.
In comparison, my gale force 9 mats have gotten wet, stomped on, shoved into tubes, yet they still look like they are new, despite years of use.

2 of 2 found this helpful I wear these daily at work, and they are very rugged and keep the light out of my eyes. They are DARK, as they are for mountaineering, but i have a sensitivity to light, so they work great.
