Very worth reading
This is an important book and moves us a good few steps further in understanding how our brains and minds work. Some of it might seem counter-intuitive but the book will quickly have you convinced.

Cheap but ...
Very simple and simplistic. Some of the advice seems plain wrong to me. And I can't imagine anyone reading this book and then presenting themselves as a coach at work"!

Authentic, convincing, engrossing
A slow and methodical depiction of a young man becoming a spy. Not James Bond but a real spy: he targets a US couple who think they can enlist him to spy for them. But can they? Somehow it keeps you turning the pages and it feels absolutely authentic. This was Cumming's first book and may also be his best (I've read a couple of others which are good but more like conventional thrillers).
