Alps Mountaineering Lightweight Series Air Pad - Short MC Review

This mat seems very well-made. I've slept on it once and it was comfortable enough, considering it's less than two inches thick. With the sleeping bag I used the mat was very slippery. A little more friction would feel more natural. I bought the short and wide version and find the extra width is not necessary - I'd rather have the smaller footprint when packed. Initial inflate takes a while but you can help it along by blowing some air into it.

Flats on a Marcus Miller Jazz Bass

Tone is good but I prefer old strings so I'll probably like the tone better as they age. Same with the texture - a bit sticky right now will probably smooth out with age. String tension is the only issue I have with these. The G and D strings seem to have much higher tension than the A and E strings. Actually I thought the same thing about D'Addario Chromes.
