Would be great if Google assistant worked properly
The Sonos move is a nice, well thought out of piece kit, sound quality is very good & is portable around the house, so great if you are washing the car or doing a workout, you can just pick it up & go. However I could not get Google assistant to work properly, it would answer questions & give me the weather etc but it wouldn’t connect to Tunein or YouTube music although it was added to the Sonos app. I put Alexa on & that worked flawlessly with no problems at all, but Google assistant just wouldn’t work properly & that’s the assistant I wanted, I did try for about 6 hours to make it work, I also contacted Sonos UK (who were very helpful ) I followed there instruction, did a master reset on the speaker & checked there were no software updates available, but still no joy, so I sent it back. My job is a laboratory technician which involves some complicated calibration sequences, so I feel competent in my ability & feel this was a genuine software fault. I did google this issue & other people have had it, admittedly some time ago but it was there. Pity as I really did like this speaker.
