Bad design
Plus: cheap.
Minus: VERY cheap. The design is such that the glasses fly out of the holder when you push the 'open' button. A very exciting experience when you're driving.

JVC sticker does not mean high quality sound in this case.
I bought the FX1X because I wanted something suitable to rock music, and the reviews claimed that was it.
The build quality is good, the earphones are comfortable and snug, but the 'bass' effect is achieved by depressing high frequencies, not by enhancing the low ones. So it sounds as if you've stuffed your ears with cotton wool, instead of adding a woofer. Quite a letdown.
So - you CAN listen to rock with these, problem that everything else won't sound so good.
For the same price range(more or less) Sony SONY MDR-EX85 or MDR-EX300SL sound much better overall.
Conclusion - not suitable as general-purpose set,but might be OK for certain types of music.

No glitter, just gold
Sound quality is excellent, low/mid/high.
Build quality very solid, materials give a 'stylish' feel.
Comfortable, with the self-adjusting headband and soft earpads
At ~70$, a great set.
On the minus side, the non-detachable cable (3m) means you can't use it with mobile devices.
This is a pity, as there are 40-50$ sets with this feature
