With the D780, my already owned Z6 becomes my B camera.
1 of 1 found this helpful While mirror-less is more compact, SLR gives wider and less expensive choice of lenses. Manual focus is also easier with the view-finder. Unlike the Z series, you can let it power on all the time without worrying fast run off of battery power, thus quick to respond to a shooting opportunity. I like the body design having more function buttons than the Z series and therefore less need to go to the screen control. The D780 also gives me similar live view functions of the Z series. Thus now I pick this camera more than the Z6 I already owned -- the latter becomes my B camera. (Of course, if you need to shoot video and rely very much on vibration stabilization, the Z series is a much better choice.)
