Have a good slash
Does exactly what it claims - It slashes weeds and grass. I honed the cutting edges for a few inches each side of the bend, and I repeat the prescription occasionally. I use a cigar-shaped hone that I bought on eBay years ago; a half-round file or some tough abrasive paper wrapped round a bit of broomstick would serve.
To use The Slasher effectively, swing it forcefully from side to side in front of you, aiming to graze the ground in mid-swing, and the weeds and the grass will vanish before you, as the sea parted before Israel.
Be careful - Check all around you on the ground and in the air for brambles, ground elder, tree branches, fences and any other obstructions that will catch or deflect the blade onto your person.
