Functional and does the job
1 of 1 found this helpful Value for money when compared to some similar items but lacking in finish quality: edges on metal legs are razon sharp and care must be taken when assembling and smoked glass effect has obvioulsy been touched up by hand with black nail varnish or something similar at factory output stage. Does not show when fully assembled as is on the underside of the glass and sharp edges on legs are covered by plastic caps. Other than that it seems OK.

Great product and superb value for money!
5 of 5 found this helpful A great wood preserver and much better than any of the water-based wood paints/preservers on the market today. Obviously great for decking and flooring but can also be used on sheds, fencing, doors, etc. But do be aware that it needs to be applied with greater care than most paints, mainly due to the fact that it is a mineral oil and needs time to soak into the surface. Extra time and patience are very necessary with the results showing the mellow hues of natural woods and the beautiful grains — and imperfections — of the timber surface.
It does need a good couple of coats to really soak through the surface but once done on newish timbers it should only need a lighter top coat applying every couple of years or so, dependent on weathering factors.
My advice would be to apply this type of preserver in early spring or even autumn time, especially when it is a slightly cooler daytime temperature and less chance of running off vertical timbers and leaving unsightly stain marks on surrounding areas.
Overall, it is a remarkable value-for-money product and will treat and preserve all sorts of different timbers for years and years.
