Wish I'd bought one year's ago!
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought as I already have Makita power tools so made sense to stick with that brand. Also wasn't sure if it would do the job and didn't want to spend a lot only to find out it wasn't suitable.
The build quality doesn't feel great but about right for the price range and equivalent to other brands. It has coped very well so far with what I've used it for - a mixture of conifer hedge but also a mixed privet and hawthorn hedge that has some substantial branches to it, I cut these using a pruning saw but the pole trimmer has coped with stuff up to an 1" thick. Time will tell as to durability but so far it seems to be performing well.
The thing I most like is it's lightness, at under 4kgs, it's great for me (a woman on her own) having to maintain around 20 metres of hedge, over 2 metres high and 2.5 metres across. You still know that you've been hoisting it around but nowhere near as much as the petrol equivalent, which no doubt is more powerful, but much heavier at just under 9kgs.
I'm glad I made the purchase and wish I'd bought one before now. Really makes life much easier and complements the petrol hedge trimmers which I only use on the ground now.

Works well
Enables you to use L size pre-wound bobbins in Brother machines that natively use size A bobbins. Works well but expensive for what it is.

Okay for the price
Didn't expect much for the price about as good as any other tools these days in this price bracket.
