OK for what it is but disappointing design
Although this camera works just fine and takes nice photos, the design of the various menus is very poor and frustrating. Too many buttons must be pressed in order to change very simple settings. Although this camera has a lot of features, the useful ones are buried too deeply within the menus and obscured by what I would call "a lot of fluff".
One of my main disappointments is that this camera has a very difficult time focusing indoors and has an unusual tendancy to set off the flash outdoors when it is not necessary. Battery life is acceptable, but could be a lot better.
This camera works well as a basic point and shoot with the automatic setting, but the point of an advanced camera like this is to be able to easily use manual features and this camera makes that difficult and frustrating. If you wanted a basic point and shoot, there are much better choices out there.
All in all, this camera fails to live up to the promise of offering truly usable advanced features in a smaller package.
